Wussy

One of the best things about being involved in campus radio is when an album just hits you out of nowhere.

Back a few years ok I spent a lot of time at the station, hanging out, listening to the new stuff that got in, etc. as well as doing my show. One of those albums that hit me was Lohio by Ass Ponys way back in 2001. I even named it my album of the year. Now over time the album hasn't stuck with me so much but I at the time I was slightly obsessed over it.

Anyways Chuck Cleaver from Ass Ponys has a new band out called Wussy. I guess the record just came out last year although I just saw it recently (thanks to a sticker put on by the promo company that mentioned the connection). I've played a couple of songs on my show and really enjoyed it. It's out on Shake It Records.
