Sweet Static

Yes, another mp3 blog. Trying to share what I like with the world. The music here is for sampling only and are up for a limited time. It's simple really you see. If you like the music then go out and support the artists. Buy a cd/mp3/eight track, make a request on radio, see them live, tell others about it. This way this wonderful medium hopefully won't be stomped on.

Location: Windsor, Ont, Canada

Sweet Static is an mp3 blog that allows me to share the music I love and also to point out other cool things around the internet that catch my attention. It is also a place where I can talk about my radio show by the same name, now on Thursday nights from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on CJAM 91.5 FM in Windsor, Ontario. Got something I should hear? Email me at sweetstatic @ gmail.com. All comments left here are emailed to my inbox, so you can get a hold of me that way also. You can also follow the show/me on twitter at sweetstaticcjam.

Pearl Jam Part Two-The Covers

Well yesterday I brought you all the first half of my Pearl Jam post, a copy of the Bridge School concert from October 1, 1994 from a CD bootleg I purchased years ago. Today is the second half of the post, the four songs the put on to fill up the CD.

The songs are once again on Rapidshare as a zip file. Here is what's in the file.

-"Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay" with Steve Cropper-1993
-"Crazy Mary" with Victoria Williams-October 1993
-"Daughter" from Saturday Night Live-April 16, 1994
-"Won't Back Down"-April 1994

To get these four songs head here.

No real trend to the songs that I could tell other then they were some cool stuff. Honestly other then the live version of "Piece of Crap" with Neil Young it was these songs that got me to buy the CD. I loved "Crazy Mary" back then (and actually still do) and I remember reading about the Tom Petty cover which did at a pro-choice concert.

Not much else I can say really. A bunch of fun songs that hopefully will be new for some of you.
