Yes, another mp3 blog. Trying to share what I like with the world. The music here is for sampling only and are up for a limited time. It's simple really you see. If you like the music then go out and support the artists. Buy a cd/mp3/eight track, make a request on radio, see them live, tell others about it. This way this wonderful medium hopefully won't be stomped on.

Flaming Lips/Sonic Youth Covers

Tomorrow night I get the pleasure of seeing The Flaming Lips and Sonic Youth at the State Theatre in Detroit. Very excited to see both bands (and The Go! Team) for the first time. With that in mind I thought I'd post a couple of covers from each band.

Here are the details of the songs.

Flaming Lips w/Corin Tucker (Sleater-Kinney)-"War Pigs" from NYE show at MSG (12/31, 2004)
Flaming Lips-"After The Goldrush" from The Bridge: A tribute to Neil Young (1989)

Sonic Youth-"Computer Age" from The Bridge: A tribute to Neil Young (1989)
Sonic Youth-"Superstar" from If I Were A Carpenter (1994)

I've set them up as zip files on Rapidshare. One zip of the two songs for each band.

Quick note, the "War Pigs" is from a crowd bootleg so the quality is only ok.
