The Anti-Hit List for June 17
As I play catch up with the regular Sweet Static features, here comes one more, John Sakamoto's Anti-Hit List.
Going to start with a band called Strays Don't Sleep. Sakamoto says taht they've been called "ambient alt.country" and you can hear that on the song he points out, "For Blue Eyes". However listening to a couple of other songs from their Myspace page and they also have some poppy stuff going on.

Next up is a Robert Pollard side project called the Keene Brothers where he teams up with Tommy Keene. A really sweet song and I can't wait to check out more of their stuff when the album comes out.

Other stuff included this week is a Bob Dylan/Missy Elliott mash-up, Junior Boys, Matthew Sweet, Petra Haden, Roddy Frame and more.
